Hello here, Today we are going to “meet” Audrey (aka Snowdropz), Audrey join the team in early January 2012. and she has been creating master pieces since then. I am so glad she accepted to join the ValC team, Thanks Audrey.
Shall we start and discover who is behind this ART?
Can you introduce you in 10 words?
I’m Audrey and I’m a recent convert to digi scrapbooking!
Where do you live? What do you do?
I live in England and I work part-time in a school.
How did you start the digiscrap? Are you coming for the paper scrap, or did you lend in the digiworld directly?
I been a paper scrapper/card maker since 2004. Then in 2010, due to time constraint, I didn’t get to play with my paper stash. I decided to give digital scrapbooking a go as I do enjoy the creative process. That’s the exciting part. I tried to use Photoshop as I had it on my Mac but it was too daunting so I used Apple’s Pages instead to create my LOs. In fact, I even managed to complete a December Journal using Pages! Then in March 2011, I took an online course from Jessica Sprague to learn to use Photoshop and to digi scrap properly. That was it! After the first lesson, everything clicked and Photoshop is now my best friend! I’m still learning along the way but I’m loving every minute of it. I don’t do traditional scrapping any more. Digi is so much fun!
What is your usual scrap time? What is your favourite scrap time in the day?
My favourite time to scrap is when my boys are in school. I have some peace in the house and it just me and my Mac! I also scrap when my boys are asleep too, sometimes into the wee hours of the morning! Yup, I’m an owl, I rather scrap than sleep!
Where the inspiration for an Layout come from? Kit’s colours? Title,or you already have a picture in mind, or a topic, or an Layout you want to scraplift?
My inspiration comes from my desire to scrap! When I want to scrap, I will find something to scrap about, even is it’s an old photo or a photo that I’ve used before! Sometimes, a particular kit may inspire me or even a quote! But when the desire to scrap is there, I just do it regardless of a lack of theme or photo! I just find something to scrap about! LOL!
How many picture did you take in july 2011? (don‘t count them one by one, ok? Just an estimate)
A lot! About a 1000 as it’s usually the last month of the school term so there’s a lot of photo opportunities there. Also, it marks the start of the summer vacation and that presents another round of photo opportunity! We tend to go overseas for our vacation so my camera is well used! Best month for photos!!!
Do you like scraplift? Why?
Not really. If I have to scraplift, I usually lift an element from it instead of the entire LO. I don’t like to copy someone’s page. I like to come out with my own design.
If you had to choose 1 kit which, for you, represent my design style, which one would it be?
It has to be Perfect Or Not. I just love the grunge, messy look in the kit. I also love the splash of colours in there.

If you had to empty my store but 2 products, which one would you keep why?
1. 100% Me. I love the word art in there. I’m a big user of word art and I had fun creating with that kit.

2. Painting Rainbows. The colours in that kit is amazing. It’s just so bright and cheerful.

Which are your 2 favourite Layout of yours? Why?
