CT spot: Terese aka t for me

The first ValC Designs’ CT member spot in 2013 is about Terese aka t for me. She joined the team in July 2010 and i’m sure that you all know her and meet her pages in the galleries. So it is really cool to read a bit about her

How would you introduce yourself?

I am Terese – I love everything crafty – and for the last few years (or well – I began scrapping 2005!) – I am addicted to digiscrapping – Surprise! LOL! I live in Sweden with husband and four kids, working almost full-time, and trying to get home and family and job, well – LIFE – in balance!

When (and how) did you join the team?

I had admired Val´s design a long time and one day I just asked her if I could join her team – When was that… Hm… time flies, for sure….! Must have been a couple of years ago… LOL! And to my great luck – Val said yes! J Thanks! She is a dear friend now!!

What do you do in your freetime if you don‘t scrap?

I exercise. Must put this first so that I keep on doing that! LOL! And I write… paint… design… and I guess you can see that this is AFTER the kids are asleep – so well, one or two of these things, sometimes none, and then the day is over! LOL!

What did you make to create your first LO?

Like so many others I wanted to create a My First Year Book for my child, my son was born in 2005, and I googled and found scrapbooking! Digiscrapping, that was, and I also started scrapping with paper and glue, and I still mix these two ways of creating! Sometimes I am more into digiscrapping and sometimes I take out the papers and the tiny buttons and the paint!

How many pages do you create in a month appr.?

About 3-4 pages I guess. Sometimes more, sometimes less!

How do you get inspiration for your pages?

When I scrap as a CT-member I start with the kit and then I see which picture that goes best with the kit! I want the entire page – picture and kit – to match! When I scrap for myself – I start with the picture, and there is a story I want to tell with my page.

Do you have any favorite topic you like scrapping about?

I LOVE scrapping about everyday-life! Love snapshots from our everyday-life!

Do you like scraplift? Why?

I LOVE to scralift! Such a great way to learn new things! And also, I think to scraplift is such a great way to find inspiration if I am out of flow!

Which ValC Designs kit do you use the most? Why?

Well, since I also designed this kit with Val – Travel Notebook is the kit I have used the most! We also had so much fun creating it, and it is certainly a kit that suits almost any kind of picture any time of the year – so therefore it is one of my most used kits!

Could you choose 2 kits which represent ValC Designs for you? why?

I love the move towards Art Journaling kits that Val took with her latest (many though! LOL!) kits, and this – Dream – is one of those!

Another kit, which is very much Val for me, is Fly High! There is the Val-mix of delicate papers and unique elements and colors that just melt together so beautiful – that I love!

Could you show 2 favortite layouts of yours? Why?

The sky is the limit with Travel Notebook – since I love the photo of my son, and since this page also reminds me of the collab, and how great it is to design together with a friend!

Life begins at the end of your comfort zone with Out of Comfort Zone – since this page reminds me of both stepping out of the zone in real life – off course – but also my love for creating Art Journaling, and how great scrapping can be – fun, relaxing, comforting, healing!

Which is your favorite layout in my ValC designs gallery? why?

Typically you by Veer, using Typically You collab by ValC Designs and Erica Zwart – this is a real standout – how great composed! Love the pictures and the use of the mask and the placements of the elements! Just so perfect! Think I must scraplift! LOL!

Which digiscrap software do you use?

I use Adobe Photoshop CS5.

When it come to computer, we all have tricks. What is you best trick, what‘s the thing you do (almost) all the time?

I almost always use actions on my photos – I love the different looks that appears with different kinds of actions! There are so many great actions out there – for free!

When it comes to scrapping, I usually – when I am almost done with the page – but there are still all these layers – resize everything – (except the backgroundpaper(s) off course and see which size all elements and photos looks the best in!
